my experiences with luckstock

         My experiences with luckstock

Since two month I have a profile on luckstock.com.

Luckstock now have 51,508 items and 12,436 members and offer only audio like music tracks, sound effects, logos, loops and other sounds. At this time it seems to grow up to a big royalty free music place with a lot of music and sounds for licensing and direct download for any kind of project: from personal videos, presentations to commercials, TV and broadcasting.

how to:

To upload an item is absolutely easy. You have to choose the categorie than pick your audio file, upload it and wait any seconds. Than you make your description, choose any tags from a list, or make your own tags. The tempo will automatically identified but often you have to check this for correctness.

earnings:

On Luckstock I found the fairest earnings in the web. For your non-exclusive audio files you get a minimum of 50% for your sales. When you use the affiliate program you get 80% of a sale. And you can offer your music elsewhere, without any restrictions.

prices:

Luckstock set the price for you. I think the price will set to the lenght an audio file.

views and sales:

Here you can see that luckstock is still a newcomer in the web. I get a lot views, but no sales so far. Other users have the same problem. Maybe not enough buyers are registered.

support:

The support get a top mark. You have a chat box where you can chat with the support in real time. The supporters are very polite and helpful.

previews of the audio files:

The previews sounds ok, but the watermark are a little too loud for me.

For buyers:

On Luckstock, you only pay once and can use the music and audio in perpetuity. You don't need to buy extra licences or others like on other music places.

my impression:

Luckstock is one of the best royalty free music places I think. I feel comfortable on this site. For buyers and composers it seems to be a very fair music place. The support is top, the views are ok. But I hope more buyers will join this market places in their own interest and for musicians and composers.

I deleted all my items on audiojungle

Today I get a hard rejection on audiojungle....once again. This was the 20. or 30. hard rejection successively.

I don't know why, but all my items get hard rejections the last months and I get no chance to go on on audiojungle.

I red a lot of other authors with the same problems. A good friend of my who is a professional music writer and composer for big companies and with a contract at the biggest world's largest music label tryed 3 tracks uploaded on audiojungle. He get 3 hard rejections with the reason of bad composing.

The last times I get the held status on audiojungle and than the hard rejections for bad composing or bad mixing or mastering. But for other big royalty free music places the music tracks are good enough.
So I have decided to stop producing for audiojungle and take all my items and upload it to other royalty free music places. Old items nobody watch without new items.

The most reviewers are selling music even on audiojungle...maybe that is the problem.

I think I will go a new way. And audiojungle or envato is not my way. It's a shame but it's one of the best seller places I think.

Royalty free music 2016

Where you can find 4_track accounts now?

1. audiojungle: 4 track on audiojungle

3. luckstock: 4 track on luckstock

new account on motionelements

Now 4_track has a new account on motionelements.com

It seems to be an interesting royalty free market place from Singapore and offer video, animations, motions, 3D and music. The most clients come from asia but a lot of sellers are from around the world.
The upload of files is total easy: upload, make a description, tags and ready. Here you have to set your own price. 50% you get for a non exclusice and 70% for an exclusive product.

The sound of the previews sounds good and the audio watermark in the preview sounds a little sexy :-)

listen:

When you have a sale, than you get the information about a few days later. This is a little strange. On other market places you get this information immediately.
But on the whole the site makes a good impression.

I will see...

new tracks awaiting reviews

September was a really good month on audiojungle so I produced any new music tracks for audiojungle and pond5. Now I have to wait for approval or a rejection. On pond5 mostly I wait any hours or one day. On audiojungle I have to wait 4-6 days. This can be a long time sometimes.

a good sunday

Today is a good day. It is sunday, the sun is shining, I'm drinking coffee and composing a new track. Today it is so easy to play a good melody and the chords. I think it will be a great track.

Later I will do a little for online marketing. A view weeks ago I created a new twitter account for four_track. So I will look for any new collaboration partners.  I'm not really good in online marketing and will try any new ways. Maybe twitter will help for this.

So - now I will go on with the new track.

Have a good sunday too.

my experiences with pond5

Pond5 is the biggest online market for video footage and offer for sale a lot of other media files, like after effect projects, images and music too. They have a big community and a lot of files.

My pond5 profile

Any currently data of pond5:

Users with clips: 53268
AVG price of all clips online: $50.91
AVG price of sold clips: $32.28
AVG price of clips sold >1 time: $33.42
The best track have more than 110 sales per month here
At this time are 374.243 music files online on pond5.

the currently data of pond5 you can see  here

My own status on pond5

Now I'm 8 weeks on pond5 and have currently 35 music tracks online. For a beginner like me it isn't easy to get views and sales on pond5. After 8 weeks I have nearly 100 views, 1/3 of my music tracks have no views and no item sale yet. In the forum of pond5 I red that many authors the first 6 month has no sales and the first sale was after 50-80 items online on pond5.

My impression

On pond5 it is easy to upload a new track. You make a track and with java or with ftp you can upload. You have to wait any minutes than your audio file has the pond5 watermark and than you can make your description, choose your tags from a list or write your own tags and send it for a review. Mostly a reviewer needs only 1 day for an approve or a reject. I have had 5 rejects so far. "...we currently have plenty of tracks of the similar type and we're not confident that yours will sell."

Positive

- fast reviews of the uploaded files

- you don't need to set the watermark of pond5 into the files

- you can choose the price for the file you will sell (audio track min 15$, effects min. 2$)

- they have a good community

- you get an e mail after every sale

Negative

- the sound of the audio preview files is really bad

- for beginners it's hard to get attention on pond5

What's next?

I love to make music and will go on. In the end of the year I will take a look if I'll stay on pond5.

my experiences with audiojungle

Audiojungle is one of the biggest royalty free music places in the web and a part of envato. Envato is a big place for all media formats, web design, video audio, photo and so on. So you have with an audiojungle account an account on envato too. The envato market has 5.6 millions member and more than 8 mio items.

After 3 years of producing backing tracks on youtube with more than 1 million views a friend and a very big seller of the envato market asked why I didn't try produce music for audiojungle. So I started. I created an account on audiojungle, make my own profile on audiojungle.

Now I have since 3 month an account on audiojungle. I have 3 items online and 5 sells. But I have to relearn produce music. All my knowledge of producing doesn't work. I've got a lot of rejections with my music.

A few times I got a message "Unfortunately your submission Big Hope isn't ready for AudioJungle and cannot be resubmitted as it did not meet our minimum requirements for quality and/or Envato Market policies. In order for submissions to be considered for sale they must be of high aesthetic and technical quality, unique to our library and cannot be in violation of Envato's policies.

Regrettably the Help and Quality Teams are unable to offer a critique or feedback on your rejected submission.

Please see our Help Center for more information: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/204067134

Our Review team also provided these comments:

This submission does not meet our general commercial composition/arrangement standard, unfortunately."

Ok that was really depressingly. A friend of my who produce promo music for big companies and for BMG Records has the same experiences like me on audiojungle. So I contacted any big sellers of audiojungle in a facebook group. They said to me my music is good but not suitable for audiojungle. The buyers on audiojungle don't look for songs or great musical works. They only search background music for videos or other media projects.

I listen to a lot of successful items on audiojungle. They almost all have the same chord progressions, sounds very similar and don't have many humanize in this tracks. Every instrument is absolutly in the point, no 1/64 later or earlier, very mechanic. The most tracks are full of happiness. Some tracks sounds like my tracks with a hard rejection.

So I will try the next tracks produce like this successful tracks and will look forward the next month. I think audiojungle is a great place for sell music.
